While running a lit circle you must respectfully contribute topics which can easily advance the discussion.
In chapter one in Of Mice and Men, Linnie seems very dependent on George. Despite this, George takes care of Lennie and helps him along from ranch to ranch. Will Lennie ever break away from George and become independent? I noticed, from their dialogue, that George and Lennie don’t have a strong eduction. Will George and Lennie receive a better education by the end of the book? And finally, will George and Lennie keep their next job at their new ranch?
The only difficult thing about running your own lit circle is staying on topic, but that is easy to do when the discussion is interesting.
I like conducting our own lit circles because we are free to select our own topics and are free to discus anything from the book.
